Givenchy F/W 2006 RTW

"The inspiration for the designer darkly romantic style comes from his childhood visions of what could be in the woods for his mother to tell him not to play there but, as the relentless marching beat of the show soundtrack kicked in, he could be forgiven for thinking that what awaited him on the other side of the curtain was more sinister than anything that lurked in the half-light of youth fertile imagination. Yes, many came to bury him but this was far too convincing a collection to satisfy those who were drawn only by the scent of blood." Source from fashionwindows.
In this collection, Riccardo Tisci seems changed from his signature dark romanticism, the use of red and volume dress, which is the hightlight of the whole collection.
Also we can see he brought unexpected playfulness to tucked and folded army-green knits, shaggy chubbies, and shiny puffer jackets. And there were ready-for-the-retail-floor little black dresses .

Achromatic & Triad Color Scheme

Besides black and white which is representing the Achromatic Color Scheme ,he also used Triad Color Scheme, such as bright cerise mixed with army-green , and also cobalt.

Givenchy Fall 2007 - ready-to-wear

In this collection ,i thinkRiccardo Tisci builded his own style in Givenchy.

Tisci showed two distinct styles: The first was essentially a sailor pant, high-waisted and narrow through the thigh, then flaring dramatically at the ankle; the less said about the droopy leather drawers, the better. (source from style.com)

What's more the , i think the use of matellic elements, like studded collars also, the used of dyed fur, and volumn dress is really special, he seems to create his "Own Givenchy"style.

Achromatic and Triadic Color Scheme

Here we can see Tisic used Achromatic Color Scheme (black and white), he also used cobalt mixed with khaki, the pale pink hightlight and refresh the whole collection this color family represent Triadic Color Scheme.

Givenchy Fall 2008 ready-to-wear

An interesting choice of gold shoes are used to compliment the outfits. This use of accented neutral color scheme helps the dresses look more vibrant and refreshing.

A full fledged gold outfit is used, just in case you don't notice the other accessories! This is probably the brightest outfit I've seen Tisci design so far.

Black and white is prevalent again, this time it is broken up by different patterns.

A neutral color scheme is used for the browns and blacks.

A monochromatic color scheme continues to dominate Tisci's designs.

When the collection was shown for the 1st time, editors were all ready to make or break Tisci, the response he got was more than approving, months after the romantic goth collection, with latin-catholic inspired lace and ever more present over-accessorizing.

Givenchy Ready-to-wear FW08 was one of the most anticipated line and bunch of celebrities(eg, Rihanna & Lau Ka Ling ) were dressed head to toe in Givenchy pieces.

The leather pants is one of my favorite items, which is a soft and sexy, romantic and elegant material ideal for winter.Leather trousers should be form-fitting except at the ankle. They are worn to show off your figure.

See Rihanna's photo on the right wearing a leather tregging during Paris fashion week.
Achromatic and Analogic Color Scheme

This collection used Achromatic (black and white) , also used the pale brown and pink , and gold studded which represent Analogic Color Scheme, the eyecatching gold studded really highlight the collection.

Givenchy spring 2008 ready-to-wear

For the Spring collection , Tisci want to make some changes ,the creative designs of unfolded and big dots pattern found ,laying on far more detail than his otherwise accomplished tailored suiting pieces and right-for-this-season draped asymmetric dresses.

Analogic Color Scheme

In this collection, the used of pale pink, brown, khaki and cerulean represented
Analogic Color Scheme. the cerulean is really eyecatching and refresh the whole collection.

Givenchy Spring 2009 - Men's wear

Givenchy's S/S 2009 men's collection reflects confident masculinity

Riccardo Tisci has produced his very first brilliant men's wear collection for S/S 2009 season.

About this first ever men's collection he raved: "The collection is structured around the figure of the self-assured man. I have taken my inspiration from my many travels through South America, my clothes bear the imprint of the sense of pride, bearing and attitude distinctive to Latin men."

The use of classic black and white was his base as well as the proportion of shorts over leggings with a structured top. A traditional two-button suit looked sensational in the same breath as a monochromatic hot pink look that included a daring lace button down, shorts, leggings, socks, and shoes.

In this collection we can see the conflict between masculine and feminine, strength and fragility. (The shocking pink, shorts and leggings break the tradition of Men's wear, because these items are normally appear only in lady's wear!)

The special design of transparency and density were at odds as were romantic and sporty in this collection.
Also we can see such a dramatic and severe and yet soft and pure look on a tattooed punk inside.

For his first men’s wear collection it’s in Tisci’s bones to give his audience something they’re not quite sure they’ll like at first, but i am sure it will will resonate and becomes highly influential.

And become one of the most directional and unapologetic collections for the Spring 2009 mens season .

Givenchy fall 2005- Couture

The collection is started off with the classic blacks and whites

Many dark flowing dresses are present in the collection

The whole collection is comprised of the monochromatic scheme. All the neutral colors are in full presence.
Mono-chromatic color scheme

This was Riccardo Tisci's debut show. The expecations were high as people lined up outside with heavy security. Most people only knew at this time that Riccardo had a gothic touch to his designs and he the heavy support of model Mariacarla Boscono and her other model friends.

You can see from this collection it very much embodies Givenchy, but with an extra edge. Many of the dresses remind me of a retro dress, but different in some ways. This is Hurbert De Givenchy updated to the year 2000.

Apart from the weird hair styling of some of the models, I thought this was a great start for Riccardo. I look forward to seeing more of his future collections!

Givenchy Fall 2006- Couture

A dark monochromatic color scheme is employed for Fall 2006

The rest of the collection also comprises of Black and Brown

This is definitely classic Givenchy style. Whites, blacks and browns are in full force here.

A full fludged neutral color scheme, the only hint of color is the hair from the models.

Mono-chromatic color scheme

Many elements of Givenchy can be seen here. This is a back to basics approach by Tisci.

Riccardo Tisci was critisized for his Spring debut. His spring collection was partially ruined by strange silhouettes cast by the clothes and tacky footwear.

It seems Riccardo has learned his lesson and decided to pay his respects to the original Hubert de Givenchy by going 'back to basics'. You can see many of the classic stylings which can be traced to the very beginning of the brand.

Ultimately, this is like a Hubert De Givenchy early collection just updated with a modern twist. Suprisingly there are many clothes here that are ready-to-wear and wouldn't look out of place on a high society party! I think Tisci has improved greatly since his first collection and I look forward to seeing more
